Birthday Layout

Hi Lovely Ladies!!!

I have come up with a mixed media birthday layout. :)

Check this out:

Theme:
I have followed a Birthday theme inspired by the moodboard of Lulupu 3rd anniversary Bash.

I am inspired by the colors and balloons. I have used lace, button, flowers, wooden carvings as embellishment. I have drawn 3 balloons and I used three stamp sets - Kaiser craft Flutter, Bo Bunny Sentiment and Rubber stamps.

March Moodboard Challenge
I am also inspired by Sassy Scrappers moodboard for March. I am inspired by the beautiful colors and shades.

Technique:
Firstly I sprinkled and stained water color over the layout. I used pink and orange shades from the mood-board.
Later, I textured using texture paste. I added a few patterned papers here and there. Added wooden embellishments. I love those ! I stamped using black soot distress ink. I drew 3 balloons using a Black Gel pen. I also hand drew cakes using a white gel pen.
Then adhered a few embellishments and was done. (I didn't want to add too many flowers though)
I am yet to add a photo. I will probably add a pic of the next birthday lined up in the family ;)

Materials:
1.Patterned papers
2.Bo Bunny stamp set
3.Kaisercraft flutter stamp set
4.texture paste
5.water colors
6.embeliishments-wooden charms, flower punch,button,lace

I am entering this layout for LULUPU Birthday Bash Layout and Sassy Scrappers March Challenge.

I stamped a few sentiments(Bo Bunny to the point stamp set) here and there. Also, stamped a few triangular shapes from the same stamp set. I stuck a few embellishments -Wooden clock , flowers, button and a feather as shown. I also adhered musical digis alongside. I added a lace too! :)

Mom - You are the best teacher!

Helloooo my dear friends!!
I have come up with another card and wow..this is my 50th Post!! :O

Theme:
You might have guessed already that it is something related to Mom?
Well, yeah! I have made a Mother's Day card. I know it's too early. But why waste time ;)
Here is my card:

Sketch:
I have followed the sketch by STAMPlorations Challenge # 30 which is this:

Technique:
I have used a whole lotta techniques in this card!

Firstly, I made a cute pencil by distressing it with wild honey. I applied Ranger Texture paste using alphabet stencil. This gives your paper such an amazing look! (I am in love with it! ;)) I let it dry overnight. I used paper piecing technique to add the sharpened edges, lead and rubber ;) I also made vertical stripes using Pigma Black marker pen.

I have used an actually notepad paper in this card. I tore one and distressed the edges with Old Paper distress ink.

The blackboard technique is so much in vogue that I had to try this! I used a black paper stock and heat embossed using Versa mark and White Embossing Powder. Use of Stamps is mandatory for STAMPlorations, that's why, I stamped the word "MOM" using Kaisercraft Cartoon Alphabet Stamp Set that I have and rest all is hand-written by Versa Mark Pen. I wanted to keep the whole card natural so didn't mind if the chalkboard had a handwritten look.

I made one apple and fuzzy cut it out from a red colored card stock and adhered it as shown above.

Challenges:
I am entering this card for the below challenges:
1.STAMplorations bi-weekly Challenge # 30 -which ends on 28/3
2.Addicted to Stamps and More # 136 -Anything goes which ends on 24/3

A Mixed Media Layout

Heyyyaaa Lovelyyy Crafter Friendssss!! <3
I know, I have changed the look of my blog...did you like it? I am totally happy with it!

Well, I was excited creating my mixed media layout the first time inspired by Mr.Jack Sparrow.
I knew it then, I had to make more of them! ;)

So, I came up with another layout. This time inspired by International Women's Day which was celebrated on 8th of March! I created a 12 *12 inches layout on canvas. I have used the blue hues in this Shabby Chic layout.

Sneak peeks of my layout before showing you the full image! ;)

Firstly, I layered the canvas with Loads of floral patterned papers from Paper Mania. I cut out the edges from a few areas and adhered a crochet lace which seeks out from the torn parts ;)

I primed these papers using Mod Podge Matte finish, White Acrylic  Color and White Fabric color. The layout was spritzed with water after all this was done so that the papers got really wet! I dried them and primed with another layer of Mod Podge.

I adhered more patterned papers, laces and a corner wooden embellishment to the layout. I colored Prussian Blue acrylic color over the layout and let it dry. I brought Texture Paste(Ranger) recently and loving it totally!! This is the new technique that I am using and it's an amazing product.I have used Crafter's Workshop Stencils with Texture paste and let it dry overnight.

I used Bo Buuny Stamp set and Kaiser Craft Flutter Stamp Set along with Tim Holtz-Distress ink (Black Soot) over the layout.

I adhered buttons and flowers and arranged them. I layered them over with white pearl color and blue color to give them a glittery look. I added a few brads here and there and a few pearl embellishment. This gives your layout a girly look! :)

I printed out a few sentiments and cut them out. I added the sentiments to the layout and the beautiful picture over the space.

Here is the layout! I am dedicating this to the women all around the world who are proud of their women hood and want to celebrate it! Here is my post for the same.

Tell me how do you find it?

I am entering this layout for the below challenges:

1. Create Something Catchy # 12  which ends on 31/3
I am inspired strongly by this gorgeous picture. I have used the colors- black, white and blue. I have used this image in my layout.

India's Daughter & Light!

Namaste All Ladies Out There!!

The news is all over. Yes! The film-Maker Leslee Udwin had decided to make a documentary (India's Daughter) on the Rape (Delhi Rape Case) that has caused a great Havoc all around the world!

Unfortunately the documentary is banned in India! (Sad!) I read this post in The Guardian and there were tears rolling down my eyes! (It's been 2 years to the Rape already...) The brutality and crimes happening all around the world is a wake up call for every person on this earth!!  This rape case has moved every Indian in a way that the world would remember!

This month, we had International Women's Day! That's why I want to dedicate this Layout to all the Women out there who think gender inequality and discriminiation is a Crime! Ladies who want to fight for justice, who see hope in darkness, who want to be educated, successful , creative and themselves! :)

Jyoti’s father(The Nirbhaya girl's Father), a man of shining integrity, says of his daughter: “In death, she lit such a torch … whatever darkness there is in this world should be dispelled by this light.”

I hope this Layout makes all our ladies get inspired and make them feel proud to be a WOMEN! :)
You are beautiful ...ladies! <3

And what I came up with is this :P

I created a frill using a silver paper and stitched (pleats) using glue. The ribbon is adhered over a black colored card stripe.
I loved the bow-tie so I decided to make it with a Pigma Marker. The triangles are also inspired from the picture and I stamped those using Bo Bunny To the Point Stamp Set and Distress ink-Black Soot. I also cut out the traingular stamps on the silver paper stock.
