Hello Peeps!
I used this week's
STAMPlorations Bi-weekly sketch # 28 which ends on 27/2 and
The Sweetest Thinsg Sketch # 256 for this card :
Here is my take on the sketch:
I was very excited to use a butterfly on my card; the reason being that I came across a lot of beautiful inspirations in our Blog-Land so I decided to use it! I think every Crafter MUST use a butterfly atleast once in her crafting career! :P
I used a freebie butterfly clipart and fuzzy cut it out. I colored it using Wild Honey distress ink from Tim Holtz. I adhered the butterfly to the card using a foam tape.
For the card, the background is a water color card stamped with "Bo Bunny -to the point Stamp Set" using wild honey distress ink. (I used a round Bokeh stamp!)
For the layer, I created a
Bokeh Effect using a Fall Leaf Stencil which i bought from the local store. I am loving this Bokeh technique! It's so fresh! I firstly sprintz water and added wild honey and moved lawn distress ink over it. Then I stenciled the leaves using the same colours. I masked the white colored leaves which gave this sheet the required Bokeh effect! :)
Stenciling technique has miscellaneous uses! The current challenge for
Craft Stamper is Stenciling. (
which ends on 25/2)
I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and Gold embossing powder. I had a hard time capturing the golden color..! I tried and shadowed it using a black pilot pen!
The stamp used is from Bo Bunny Stamp Set.
Here is another look of the card!
I am also entering this card for
Addicted to CAS challenge# 57 (
ends on 27/2) which says us to use
MASKing technique for a CAS card which I have used for the Bokeh Technique. :)
