Birthday Elements!

Heyyaaa Dear Friendssss!! :)
Happy Friday to you all! I am back and this time with a Birthday Card!
If you are looking for my Giveaway, find it HERE!

I made this card using STAMPlorations- Party Mates stamp set. I had this set on my wishlist since like ages! But finally, I got my hands on it! :)
I started by masking the gift boxes and stamping them one besides the other as shown. Then, I stamped over another panel with Chocolate stamps and cupcakes- all the cute little things! I colored this pane using Hickory smoke distress ink.
Later on, I colored these elements using distress inks (rainbow colors) and stamped the sentiment using white pigment ink.
I must say that if you know basics of stamping well by now, MISTI can take the quality of stamping to a whole other level. Your stamping gets precise and very clear. :)

New Technique using distress ink!

Heyya Sweet Crafters!! :)

Its been a while since my last post! I had a short trip to one of the beautiful beaches of Konkan area!

So, I am playing along a few challenges! I came up with this card-

As you all know, I love playing with distress ink! That day, I saw a video of Jennifer McGuire showcasing distress ink lifting. I thought why not try something like this using a stencil! Looks like I found a new technique altogether (which I was not aware of before whether it existed or not :P )

I started with masking the card base with washi tape to make that sketch. I used Seedless preserves, Salty ocean and Peakcock Feathers to sponge the background. Later, I covered the card with ARTplorations - Tribal Swirls stencil. I used water brush over the exposed area and wiped it using baby wipes. (I know it is a lot of work but the results are amazing! )The ink lifting worked wonders and I was happy with the result. Let me know if you want a video of it, if more people ask for it, I will definitely make one! :)

I added a few sequins to finish up this one layer card. And yes, the sentiment is also multicolored using DI. :)

Jack Sparrow

Oh man! Its been a long long time since I held my brush and canvas! My last Art post was in December 2014 ! (I missed my brushes and colors and palette!)
Not that I wasn't creative! I was busy Crafting !! ;)

I was pretty excited when I got to know that the theme for this week's Pin(spirational )Challenge  # 134 (Top 3) is this guy and Kraftin Kimmie Stamps # 268 had a Movie theme!

Who doesn't get excited seeing HIM? Mr.Johnny Depp!! :P

So, I got my creative juices running and came with something that I hadn't tried before on Canvas! A Mixed Media Art. What I came up with is -

Hehe...Take 1 at Mixed Media made me so happy that I have decided to make more of these! (Also, I will paint more often!) Mr. Jack Sparrow's quote "Now, on deck! Batten down the hatches, weigh anchor! We sail..with the tide!" is the one that I have used on my canvas!

Umm...there are sooo many things that I have used here - Acrylic, oil paints, Gel pens, distress ink, photo transfer, fabric color, stencils, digital stamps, clear stamps , sequins, Homemade embossing paste, bubble wrap! Phew! :P

I was carried away with the painting so couldn't do the tutorial ;). I will do it for the next time!

Did you like my mixed media attempt?

I am also entering it for Rhedd's Creative Spirit Challenge and Frosted Designs  (I have used inks, paints, home made embossing paste in the design to get messy ;) )

A Teddy Bear Shaker Card!

Hello Crafters!!

I have created a Teddy Bear Shaker card! Teddy bears are really cute and can melt your heart if someone gifts you a teddy card! My hubby and I had a little fight..so I decided to give him a card! He loved it! <3 :D

So, here is the card!

I have used a Red, Pink and White theme. I am using heart as my inspiration here (Muse celebration)..

I have added a teddy bear Connie Stamp and fussy cut it. I have used a red fabric color to fill in the heart. It gives your card a three dimensional look.

I have stamped the inside of the shaker card with Love stamp using seedless preserves distress ink! I am really loving the effect! :)
I added these little sequins and stuck the circle using 2 sided glue tape. I added the sentiment and cut out a pink heart and bordered it using the red fabric color. I used the heart stencil and fire brick distress ink to border the card with hearts! :D

Hello Crafters!!

I colored the card light brown using water colors. I stuck a few sequins and was done!
This card took me hardly 15mins. I have used just 1 set of stamps- Alphabet clear stamp!
I got my inspiration from our very own Catchy Designs Lovely Lady Deepti Stephens.

A Cupcake Shaker Card!

Helloooooo my dear friends!! :)
I came across a few challenges that tempted me to make this card!
The card is a Cup Cake Shaker Card!

Here is how i started,

I printed a CupCake with Stars Digi and pasted it on a Pink Cardstock. I used some pretty colourful star-shaped sequins and added them at the border of this card! I used White and Pink card stock for its borders. This all makes a fancy shaker card..!! :)

I must say that making a shaker card in a small area is not easy at all! It takes a lot of your patience and energy! But in the end, all is worth it baby! :D

I used water colors to paint the digi and used "worn lipstick" distress ink and applied it to the border. I shaded the outer border of Digi with magenta colored water-color. Here is a look at it:
I have made a tag using distress ink (salty ocean and mowed lawn) and stamped the sentiments using alphabet clear stamps.

And finally the card is ready! Wohoooo!! :) :)
