Mother's Day Apron

Helllooo Sweet Crafters!!

This time I have made an Apron Card! Yeah, you heard me right! ;)
Mother's day is just around the corner and wanted to make something for my dear mother which would make her smile instantly.

I had an idea to use Polka Dots for this perfect occasion. :)

Technique:

I have used patterned papers from Leme which is a Chinese brand I brought from my local store.
I cut them out into an Apron shape and later adhered the flowery patterned paper pocket which is from the same company. I used a mulberry flower over the pocket and adhered a crochet lace at the bottom.

I had fun using Washi tape. I have this red and white polka dot washi tape and really love it!
I adhered them as shown and pasted the brads over the apron.

Then, I made a tag which says- "Mom you're the best!" Mom-is hand written and "you're the best"-is stamped from "Fiskars scratch from petals" stamp set. I also stamped a few designs from the same stamp set. I have used DI- Mowed Lawn and Black Soot.

I was so excited and happy making this that I ended up making a similar card! So, now I have two of them ! :)

I am entering this card for The Challenge # 32. Polka Dots is the theme this week.

Also, for Crafty Gals Corner - Stripes/Polka Dots as the theme.
So, did you like my card?

Remembrance!

Heyyy Ladies!!

"Time is Precious" isn't it?
What we have today is a Gift , that's why it is called a Present!
Time flies by, we get old, memories remain.
Wish we could freeze time, rewind, fast-forward it.

My Mixed Media Art today is inspired by Time, Numbers, and clock.

Here it is! :)

Technique:
I used a cardboard which was a part of a new shirt and up cycled it ;)
I applied 2-3 layers of Sakura Acrylic Gesso over it. I adhered Number Washi tapes shown and primed with another layer of gesso.
I used a stencil from Craftslane for the texture and Number stencil from local store for the numbers.
I used texture paste for the same.
Later, I used loads of patterned paper scrap and adhered it at the centre. I applied Gesso and acrylic white over them.
I used a feather, Wooden embellishments- Camera & clock, buttons, Mulberry flowers, foam punched flowers, leaves, eyelets, glass glitter.
I arranged these as shown and later primed them again with gesso. I used Acrylic colors- black, white gold, pearl colors, Bronze dust & water colors.
For the butterfly, I fuzzy cut it out and adhered it with glass glitter and acrylic white color. It gives such a cool texture! :)
I used a few stamps from Fiskars over the layout using wild honey and old paper distress ink.
The sentiment is hand-written.

Hope you guys like this new style of mixed media attempt that I tried? :)

Ok! Let me show you my card! :)

Technique:

I used the chevron patterned paper from American Craft. I stamped over the paper using Fiskars "for the bird" stamp set. I hand -wrote a few lines over the paper. The edges were distressed using old paper ink. I used black soot and Bo Bunny - to the point stamp over the background.

I splattered acrylic white and black colored(enjoyed it thoroughly and reminded me of my child-hood.. ;)) I used glass glitter from Prima Marketing and adhered it over the paper(you may see them if you really stare closely above the sentiment) .The sentiment "Inspire" is from the same stamp set. I used texture paste with Craftslane stencil to add some texture.

Now, for the flowers, I stamped them over a white card and fuzzy cut them out. I colored them using water colors. The stamp is from Fiskars- Petals from scratch. After this I adhered it over a Red Card Paper.

Water-colored Birdie

Hello Sassy Ladies!! :)

I don't get much of a chance to paint nowadays! When I saw that this month's Lulupu Challenge#48 has "Watercolors" as the theme, I starting using right side of my brain.

With spring blooming, I have hand-painted this birdie and cherry blossoms using distress ink and water.  I have used - salty ocean, wild honey, black soot, worn lipstick, seedless preserves and mowed lawn distress ink on the card base.

I stamped the sentiment using Fiskars "For the Bird" Stamp set for this CAS card. Later, adhered it over the black and a sky blue card base.

New Beginnings!

Hello Ladies!!
I have made a new mixed media layout ! :)

Theme:
I have created a Spring themed layout with those who have wings! ;)

Check out my Layout:

Technique:

Oh well! I had this cardboard and it was asking me to create something out of it! So, I began...I tore it midway and it gave my base a cool texture.
I primed the base with acrylic white paint, layered with a green pearl color and later brushed the edges with bronze pwder+ white acrylic. Changing shades in you layout gives it a good depth! :)
I used texture paste and a stencil from Craftslane and layered it here and there. I cut-out circles of different sizes and textured one using stencil, stamped a few and hand painted others.
I saw a few freebie cliparts over the net and used them here -Birdie and butterflies.I painted them using water colors and distress ink.
I used mulberry flower in the layout and pasted the sentiment.
The yellow flowers that you can see are made out of fabric liners.
The stamped swirls and bird is from Fiskars -For the bird and Petals from scratch stamp set.
Later, I gave a few touches of green pearl colors to finish off my layout! :)
Hope you all like these winged guys? ;)

Challenges:
I have made it inspired by the MoodBoard on Curtain Call which is New beginnings.

Try it on Tuesday  have the theme "they who have wings"
And
Beyond Grey Challenges # 67 -Spring green with spring elements.

I wanted to share this small quote before ending,
