My unpublished cards of 2015!

Hello Ladies!! :)

As we are nearing the end of year 2015, I wanted to share with you all cards that I made but somehow couldn't publish or didn't want to!

Here they are...!

Also,
I want to take a moment and THANK each one of  YOU for being a part of my crafty world ! This year has seen several ups and downs. As you all know, this year, I lost my mother in law who was battling breast cancer. But in spite of my personal loss, YOU all have been an amazing inspiration to me when things were down. Somewhere, somehow, that art work, that craft work, has helped me build my strength!

OK!
So, now, on the happier note, I have BIG NEWS in store for you all for 2016..! Eagerly waiting to share with you all!

Hope you enjoyed seeing this display of cards!

Happy New Year 2016! :)

A Grid Card!

Hello All!!

I have made a Christmas card and this is really not my usual style of making a card but I somehow wanted to try something different. And here it is! :)

For the card, I started off by heat embossing STAMPlorations - Yuletide Cheer stamp on a watercolor paper base. Then, I watercolored them using distress ink - Mowed lawn and Salty ocean.

I made these grids and adhered them over a black card base. And added the heat embossed sentiment from the same stamp set.

Hope you liked this new style?

How to make daubers and ARTplorations blog hop!

Hello Dear Friends! :)

Today, I am giving you the tutorial for how to make daubers at home. The craft hack will save you a lot  and when you need many, this can be an effective solution!

All you need is a Pipe with 1/2 cm diameter and sponge or a felt sheet.

Cut your pipe into smaller pieces and also your sponge sheet.

Fold them into a cylindrical shape and fit into that pipe as above.

Note that, the corners of the sponge should not be pulled out. Also, while sponging with the ink, you can get a grip on those daubbers by putting you finger inside the pipe so that sponging is smooth.

I made 10 of them. Hope you liked this idea? :)

--------------------------------------x--------------------------------

I am so glad to take part in STAMPlorations Blog Hop.

They are featuring ARTplorations stencil and I have used one of them in my card. I have used ARTplorations - Bold Florals.

For the card, I sponged those gorgeous flowers using Salty ocean and Mowed lawn distress ink.
I stamped Bo Bunny script stamp on those flowers and leaves and later colored the blank area using Black soot Distress ink.
The sentiment is from STAMPlorations - Trendy Feathers stamp set. :)

For the card, I used Fiskars-Petals from scratch stamp for those gorgeous flowers! Then I watercolored them using Distress inks from Tim Holtz. I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold embossing powder and used Dee's Balloons & Banners stamp set from STAMPlorations.

The strip on the base is stamped using Bo Bunny- to the point stamp set and Distress ink -Salty Ocean.I have adhered the flowery panel and sentiment on the base using double sided tape to add dimension.
BTW, those cubes besides my card?!.. are origami cubes- handmade - created by my FIL. :)

I fussy cut it out and created a little scene by watercoloring the background and stamping the sentiment. I added those skies using red colored strip and handed it to the snowman to add some dimension. I used American Craft patterned paper for the background to make it look like snow...does it? :)
