An accessories box!

Hellooo Sweeettt Craftersssss!! :)
It is nearly the end of August and I wanted to make something different.

I made this mixed media box !

I came across this Iphone box that I kept with me since ages! Thought could put into some use?

I started off by painting the entire box using Gesso from Sakura. And let it dry.

I used two stencils from ARTplorations:
1. Bold Florals - for the cover
2.Leaf print - for the bottom
I used a gold marker to trace these stencils over the box. Giving it a metallic start. I also colored the flowers on the front using black acrylic.

For the box, I struggled at positioning the flowers and finally kept in the way shown. :)
Later, I layered it with gesso and gave shades with white and black acrylic. I again layered with white acrylic and when half wet I brushed Bronze Dust all over. I didn't want too many embellishments. So , kept the bottom as it is. :)

Did you like this box? We can actually use it for keeping jewellery items and accessories. Or of course, craft embellishment! ;)

I am entering it for

and

It had been a very long week for me. In the earlier post, I had mentioned that my mother in law was not well due to cancer. She is no more in this world. She had been fighting fiercely for last 2 years and we were standing by her side strongly. Unfortunately, some things are not in our hand. She had been suffering a lot and she went away for the better.

I want to dedicate this card to all cancer patients around the world. Live the journey of life. Life is short. Enjoy every moment of it and be strong! Because each one of you matter! :)

Love Sea Horses! :)

Hellooo Sassy Ladies!! :)

I have made a card for this week's Special Guest Designer of 'City Crafter Challenge Blog'. The design team of this blog rocks and  I am glad to join such a talented team. You may want to visit their blogs :)
By the way, my card! It is inspired by this weeks mood board! I am highly inspired by this sea theme. :)

I have followed this week's sketch of 'Freshly Made Sketches'.
I started off by making the tags. I used distress ink - Mowed lawn, Salty ocean over them and sprinkled water over them. I have used white pigment ink to draw water bubbles.

I hand drew the sea horse, shells, star fish and banner. I colored them with Mr.Huey's water colors and Koi water brush. I used a star clamp to bring these tags together for the sketch.
I have pieced various blue colored papers to form watery waves on the base card. I adhered the tags on the base by using double sided foam tape. The sentiment is from Fiskars- For the birds stamp set.

Hope you like my card?I am also entering this card for MOO Mania Challenge which has 'At The Beach ' theme. Please do not forget to hop by City Crafter blog for more info! :)

Monochromatic Purple Card

Helloooo Sweet Crafters!! Hope you had a great weekend? :)

It is another one of my cards as a Guest Designer of August- Craft for the Craic.

The photo inspiration is:

My card this week! :)

For this card, I started by using a stencil from Craftslane and used distress ink - 'Seedless preserves' throughout. Then I sprinkled water and made that water colored background!

I stamped the butterflies using STAMPlorations stamp set 'Trendy Butterfly' and Black soot distress ink. I fuzzy cut them out and adhered them with the double sided foam tape. I adhered the whole panel over a base card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

The border of the base is again painted using 'Seedless Preserves' distress ink and Koi water brush.

I have come up with this card which is inspired by this week's Colour MeChallenge which has a monochromatic color scheme.

I have also followed the sketch of STAMPlorations August and theme - 'stamps & watercolors'.

Hope you like my card ? :)

GDT post - Craft for the Craic August

Heyyaaa Dear Bloggers!! :)

I am back with a card for August GDT post of "Craft for the Craic".

This month, you need to interpret the image given below in own way! It is Eithne's wild garden. :)
You can look for colors, gardens, background, flowers, anything that can make your grey matter work , eh? :)

My take on inspiration pic is

I started by masking and stamping the flower stamp from Fiskars-Scratch from petal using old paper distress ink. I tried No-Line coloring technique for this card. I have used seedless preserves distress ink and wild honey for the flowers and Mowed Lawn for the background. I used the sentiment stamp set from Bo Bunny for the sentiment.

Hope you guys like my card?

I wanted to share a wall-hanging which I made recently. We call it as "Mural" in India. This is different from the wall murals that is globally recognised. How do you feel it is? The base is wooden and lettering is by using clay. :)
